Step 1: Extract the downloaded firmware zip using winrar/7zip/winzip or any other extracting tool to get a tar.md5 file with some other optional files.

Step 2: Extract the zip to get Odin Odin v3.09.exe with a few other files

Step 3: Switch off the Galaxy Note 2. Boot it into Download Mode by pressing and holding Volume Down , Home and Power buttons together until a construction Android robot with a warning triangle icon appears on screen. Now press the Volume Up button to enter into Download Mode

Step 4: Run Odin3 v3.09.exe as Administrator

They’ve posted a purported test build for the KitKat 4.4.2 update of the Galaxy Note N9005 SM-3 (that’s the Snapdragon 800 model with LTE bands). This leak comes just two days after the Android 4.4 build for the Galaxy S4.

Changes include all the usual goodies KitKat, plus a tweaked TouchWiz visual theme (with white battery, service, Wifi, clock, icons, etc.), and a camera shortcut on the lockscreen.
