Curved screen Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge not as useful as in Note Edge – NieuweMobiel.NL

Samsung scored big when the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge during the Note 4 presentation announced. The curved screen was not only beautiful to the eye, there were all kinds of functions linked. Something the S6 Edge probably less.

We go back to the introduction of the Galaxy Note Edge. The screen is folded up on the right side and things appear as notifications and a toolbar that side. The screen on the probable Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge is folded on both sides and thereby creates the impression that Samsung again something special invented. But is that really so?

 Galaxy Note Edge Toolbar
It is unclear whether this is also the Galaxy S6 Edge

The reason why Samsung with less which sides can do is probably because the screen size a bit small. The S6 Edge probably get into the same 5.1-inch screen as the regular S6. If you give both sides a portion pick would remain too little screen in order to view apps in a normal way. Incidentally, we also see in the leaked images, the screen is not as curved as for example in the Note Edge is the case. This is not only a practical consideration. According to rumors, it would limit the number of production errors are reduced so Samsung can make more of such panels and can therefore sell more copies of the S6 Edge. Nevertheless, we expect the launch next Sunday with tension.

IFTTT, short for If This Then That, today released three new apps. IFTTT is a service that lets you automate certain tasks according to a recipe. You choose a trigger (the This in If This Then That) and then an action to be performed. IFTTT has worked with hundreds of services and with the new apps, you can still make recipes done faster.

Do Camera

The first new app Do Camera. Once you have created an account or login with your IFTTT account you can create a recipe. Maximum you can use three recipes. The app automatically adds sent to the first in which a captured image directly to yourself via email. Yourself, you can add an additional action, such as saving the captured image in Dropbox. Galaxy Note Edge with Lollipop does have a mute option – Tablets Magazine

It appears that the Android 5.0 Lollipop version on the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge well equipped with a mute function. Google has removed that option is standard in the latest version of the OS.

Even apart from the bugs that Android 5.0 Lollipop currently still plagues the new version of the Android OS is a decent fine. There is one major drawback: Google has removed the mute default Lollipop. Why So? No idea. Perhaps it has to do with the new notification system where you can specify which apps you can not disturb or at certain times. Beyond that, there is no reason to believe that we now have to do it without a mute function. Google, bring him back, thanks.

mute edge

But what happens now? Samsung has that option indeed reduced in the upgrade of KitKat to Lollipop, but for now only back to popular , but not widely available Samsung Galaxy Note Edge. And he is not even hidden – before we even got there behind that the new notification system is hidden in the Samsung Galaxy Note 4. No, when the status bar at the top pulls down, then you will see the option to sit right away. As if Samsung wants to mock Google, but with a twist.

mute edge 2

The Samsung Galaxy Note Edge resembles specifications so terribly on the Galaxy Note 4, as two biggest differences that the Edge it has to do with a smaller battery and the device of course still a piece of the screen on the side of the phablet has hung. That screen is separate from the big screen where you will normally look at, but offers the buttons within the context of what you’re actually doing. Although both screens are so unrelated, they work well together happily.

Galaxy Note 4 with Lollipop contains confusing volume – Tablets Magazine

The people who have already received the Lollipop update for the Galaxy Note 4 , complain about the confusing volume control on the device. Samsung has chosen a strange method for controlling the sound.

Android 5.0 Lollipop -upgrade be gradually rolled out across Europe by Samsung for its own devices and there are people who have him stand currently on the Galaxy Note 4. Just as is the case on the Samsung Galaxy S5 will update a lot of improvements with it, but it is not gold that glitters. For instance, users have difficulty in controlling the volume. And that’s not just because Google has chosen to remove the mute option from the OS; Samsung has well hidden the scheme.

This means that you have to dive every time in between the settings of your phablet to set your phone in a certain way, as you on smartphones such as the Google Nexus 5 For example, just to do with the volume buttons. Want to set your four discs as fast, then you have only the choice of the sound or not to: turn your sound off, switch-ie automatically to vibrate. Google’s decision to remove the mute function Lollipop was strange enough; this change does not make it any better.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is a cross between a phone and a tablet, what is called a phablet. Samsung brings a number of years this successful series discs on the market and provides users with a large screen (5.7 inches), a good processor (Qualcomm Snapdragon 805) and high resolution (2560 x 1440). Furthermore, the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 has just about every modern terminal that you would expect from a phablet-and he has two cameras: one of 16MP in the back and one in front of 3,7MP
