Nvidia Tegra Note 7 gets Android 5.1 – Tablet Guide

The nearly two-year-old Nvidia Tegra Note 7 tablet is receiving a software update. This brings the tablet Android 4.4 (KitKat) to 5.1 (Lollipop). Nvidia also has several new features and improvements added to the update.

Nvidia rolls at time of writing an update for the Tegra Note 7. This tablet was in 2013 launched and had to compete with budget tablets like the Nexus 7 (2013). The Tegra Note 7 was given a price tag of just $ 199 and offers excellent specifications, including a special stylus. The tablet has officially Netherlands never reached and abroad now only sold second hand.
However, Nvidia again does not like to continue to support the device software updates, as revealed this week. The update that is currently being rolled out, bringing the tablet of the outdated Android 4.4 KitKat to 5.1 Lollipop, currently the latest version.

The update is less than 500MB in size and for most Tegra Note 7 owners now download. In addition to all the standard features and improvements in Android 5.1, the software also looks a lot more modern. This is due to Google’s Material Design. Additionally, Nvidia also has several bug fixes implemented that ensure an improved user experience. For example, the stylus should work faster and there are problems with incompatible applications resolved. However, the update does not entirely free of problems: Several users report that their tablet after the update has a poorer battery life
