Samsung has started rolling out a Galaxy Note 5 update. The new software would have to improve battery life. The Note 5 is still not officially available in the Netherlands.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 update now rolling out in Singapore, and in the coming days and weeks will be made available worldwide. The update, version number N920IDVU2AOJ4 is 144 MB. Users can download the software over-the-air, and automatically receive a notification when the update is available for their Note 5.
The Samsung changelog mentions various improvements. Thus, among others, the battery life will be boosted. Samsung would have optimized the battery usage. The stability of the Phone app has been improved. Samsung also speaks of enhanced security. Users who have already installed the update Note 5 say also Samsung Knox updated. After installing the software Knox makes sure you can not install software more ancient.
With the introduction of the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 made known that the device not currently being released in the Netherlands. Instead, there appeared the Galaxy S6 + Edge. The two smartphones have almost identical hardware, though adds the Note 5 now, an S-Pen. In recent months, there appeared several rumors that the Note 5 will appear here anyway. Samsung already indicated that there still are no plans to enable it to the door looks open for a possible Note 5 release in early 2016. A number of Dutch merchant sells the device incidentally already for a hefty surcharge.
