Samsung Galaxy Note gets 6 waterproof housing and iris scanner – TechTastic

The Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge are now for sale and that means that we already start to prepare slowly a month before the arrival of the next Samsung flagship Galaxy Note 6. Earlier this week, an analyst suggested already that popular phablet two months before the arrival of the iPhone 7 series will be introduced and today there are also some news leaked about the specifications of the Galaxy Note 6.

According to SamMobile is the fact that the casing Galaxy Note 6 gets an IP68 rating. This indication is identical to that of the Galaxy S7 series and allows the housing of the Galaxy Note 6 is water and dust proof, as long as you use the camera in any event not longer than 30 minutes in up to one meter deep water. The Galaxy Note 6 is thus the first device in the series that is water resistant.

Furthermore, the site claims that it is plausible that Samsung already much discussed iris scanner finally going to use for a smartphone. In recent years we have heard several times that Samsung wants to use an iris scanner to release a smartphone with your eyes, but it is still not happened. In the Indian import-export database Zauba discovered that Samsung has begun shipping a “Iris Cam” part the Samsung mobile division. Nowhere is there reference to the Galaxy Note 6, but it is obvious that an iris scanner will be used for the next flagship.

Many of the Galaxy Note 6 we have not learned yet, although early rumors talked about a 5.8-inch screen and a total of 6GB of LPDDR4 memory. We must also wait to see if the Galaxy Note 6 does appear this year in Europe; the Note 5 was replaced in some areas by the 5.7-inch Galaxy S6 Edge + because Europeans according to Samsung hardly would use the S Pen stylus.

We will have to have a little patience official announcement, because the Galaxy Note 6 comes only in the second half of 2016 on the market
