The Redmi Note 3 for several months available in the Asian market with a system-on-a-chip MediaTek, but Xiaomi today unveiled a new version announced which uses instead of a Qualcomm Snapdragon 650.
Although the Helio X10 of the Chinese chip manufacturer has more cores (eight Cortex A53), the Snapdragon in practice will probably be a lot faster. Qualcomm namely uses two powerful Cortex A72 cores at 1.8 GHz, beside a cluster of four Cortex A53 cores.
Further, a Adreno-510 video chip integrated and supports the whole 4G + for even faster network traffic. However, it has changed more things like the camera – which now has 16 instead of 13 megapixels. The battery capacity is 50 mAh increased to 4050 mAh.
The rest of the Redmi Note 3 remains unchanged, which means that there is still a 5.5-inch screen with 1920×1080 pixels, 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of storage is available, as well as a 5-megapixel webcam, full metal body and a fingerprint reader.
The price is still about 140 euros excluding possible import costs. Later will appear a variant with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB of storage, but there is no amount called for.
