LG and Samsung are sometimes like little children. Has a little, then will the other that immediately. It is no coincidence that both companies regularly come together with similar innovations. When the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge was presented at IFA, they had to swallow at LG. But at CES they have “it”, but then double: a smartphone with two curved edges
The device that was shown at CES, it was only a prototype.. LG especially wanted to show were the curved edges of the screen. Borders plural indeed. For where the Samsung Galaxy Note Edge on the right screen to have folded the phone, LG has done on both sides.

As mentioned above refers to a single prototype-phone which is provided with this crazy display. The curved P-OLED display measures 6 inches diagonally and has a current standards rather meager resolution of 720p. On both curved edges can get shortcuts to apps, notifications of new events and controls.
Fantastic futuristic
What is the benefit? Well, the Galaxy Note Edge already looked fantastic futuristic, that goes double for this LG prototype. There are also disadvantages. As an added edge also means additional work for app developers to come up for tofs something there. And as The Verge points out, it is almost impossible to pick up this unit without something on the screen again. Whether this short is the direction that must go smartphone manufacturers, is still questionable. But it looks yummy.
