Xiaomi has announced a new smartphone; the Redmi Note 3. This is the Redmi Note 2, which was launched just three months ago, although smoothly implemented. In terms of specifications, the two also have many similarities, however, the new model features a metal case.
The Redmi Note 3 comes with a 5.5-inch screen with a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. It is driven by a 64-bit X10 MediaTek Helio octa-core SoC in combination with, depending on the variant, 2 or 3 GB of RAM. The model with 2 GB RAM, 16 GB of storage memory while the more expensive model with 3 GB RAM with 32 GB provides twice as much storage memory.
At the rear is a 13-megapixel camera with dual-LED flash present while the front is decorated with a five-megapixel front-facing camera. In addition there is a fingerprint scanner placed under the camera on the back, according to the manufacturer, it is thus possible to unlock the device within a period of 0.3 seconds. The unit is powered by a battery with a capacity of 4000 mAh and runs on Android 5.1 “Lollipop”, equipped with the MIUI 7 user interface.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 takes converted 132 euros for the model with 2 GB RAM and 16 GB of storage memory while the variant with 3 GB RAM and 32 GB switches for 161 euro owner.
