Xiaomi Redmi Note 3 official: cheap Chinese metal phablet – Android World

That the successor to the Redmi Note 2 would be presented today was clear and Xiaomi this unit has also just shown. While the company only a few years operates in the market of smartphones and other devices, it has already grown into one of the largest manufacturers of China.

Chinese Xiaomi has just officially presented the Redmi Note 3. The device is the successor to the Redmi Note 2 and adapted to different levels towards these predecessor. Thus, this device includes a metal housing, but because the phone is only 4 grams heavier and has now become a weight of 164 grams and a thickness of 8,65mm.

The screen is a 5.5 inch full HD panel and the whole is driven by Helio X10 chipset from MediaTek and 2GB or 3GB memory. On the back is a fingerprint scanner available, which should recognize a fingerprint in 0.3 seconds and the device should release has to find a 4000mAh battery in the device with quick charge capabilities and 13-megapixel camera on the back supports PDAF, or Phase Detection Auto Focus.

There are two SIM card slots available which both offer support for 4G (not all European bands) and the 5 megapixel FrontCam, offers the possibility of 36 beauty profiles in set to make the perfect selfie. The software is based on Android 5.1.1 Lollipop, but MIUI 7-peel Xiaomi is also present. The internal memory is 16 or 32GB but a microSD card slot is not explicitly spoken

Availability

The Redmi Note 3 comes onto the market in three colors, silver, gold and dark gray and will be to buy in China for the equivalent of € 131. The model with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage memory costs translated as three bucks more. Importing is of course possible, but then one has to take into account higher prices, shipping costs and any import fees. In addition, the hardware is not fully compatible with Dutch and Belgian 4G networks, so it can not be fully used here
