Samsung Galaxy Note 2 & S3 Android 4.2.2 Update Made Easy - SidhTech

The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 is an Android device that’s leg very popular with developers and customers alike. It’s supposed to be getting Jelly Bean 4.2, but we do not have a firm date, so if you want to install the update via a custom ROM, we can help you.

When you install a ROM yourself, it’s at your own risk, so make sure you read thesis directions very carefully. Also, make sure your phone is one of these:

Samsung Galaxy Note 2, AT & T Galaxy Note 2, Verizon Galaxy Note 2, Sprint Galaxy Note 2 and the T-Mobile Galaxy Note 2. Your handset shouldering usefull be rooted.

You must have at least 70% battery, shaft power interruptions can cause damage. Back up your handset if you want, and you might also need to disable security on your phone and on your PC.

You May want to make a backup of your handset.

You might also want to disable security on the computer and the device
Make sure you have USB debugging enabled -.. check by going to Settings> Application Development and USB debugging

‘ll need ClockworkMod or similar on your phone.

Download your preferred thesis ROM and follow instructions.

One:. Install Samsung USB drivers onto your PC

Two:. Connect your device to your PC and copy your chosen ROM and Google Apps to your phone’s SD card

Three: Turn off your discs 2 and reboot it in recovery mode by pressing and holding the volume up, volume down and power keys once it’s turned off

Four: Make a Nandroid backup for your present ROM so you can restore it if you need to. Select Backup and Restore> Backup. You can choose restore if you need to revert.

Five: In the main menu, choose Wipe data / factory reset and Wipe cache partition. Then go back and select advanced> Wipe Dalvik cache.

Six: Return to the main menu and choose install zip from SD card> choose zip from SD card. Choose the custom ROM zip file That you’ve copied onto your discs 2 and confirm the installation. Do this again with Google Apps.

Seven: Once installation has finished, return to main menu and choose reboot system now

Eight: Your Note 2 will reboot, and this first run might take four or five minutes, so do not worry

You now have a Note 2 that’s on Jellybean 4.2.2, courtesy of Pacman. This ROM brings a lot of changes, as it’s a hybrid of the latest Android and Paranoid Android, AOKP and CyanogenMod customization.
