Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 (3G): Update to Android 4.2.2 started, yet ... - Android World

8.0 3G Samsung Galaxy Note (GT-N5100)

The Samsung Galaxy Note 8.0 features an 8 inch WXGA display with a reasonable resolution of 1280 × 800. There is a 5 megapixel camera on the back and a 1.3 megapixel camera on the front site. The quad-core chipset clocked at 1.6 Ghz. These are the Samsung Exynos 4412 chipset itself. There is also 2 GB of RAM, 16 or 32GB of internal memory and a micro SD card slot. The battery has a capacity of 4600 mAh. There is a WiFi and a 3G version available.

update to Android 4.2.2 course includes a number of improvements and new features like widgets for lock, Daydream and ‘fast settings. More information about Android 4.2 can be found here. On the side of TouchWiz there are also a number of new features, such as improved launcher, weather widget and unlock screen. Functions can also be found on the Samsung Galaxy S4.

Availability

update OTA (over-the-air) available through a notification in the notification bar but unfortunately not yet in Netherlands and Belgium. Update will also be possible via Kies, Samsung’s software for PC and Mac.

If you do not have the patience to wait or you retted Note? The firmware is available on SamMobile so on your Note 8.0 (3G) can install it manually. It may be that you lose data, so back up your data is recommended.
