It progresses slowly with the manga film Death Note . We know that Adam Wingard film must directing and actor Nat Wolff plays the leading role. But otherwise we hear little about the production. Until today, because in an interview with Collider told Roy Lee, producer of the film, about the rating and the start of production.

“[Wingard] waiting for the moment until we officially give the green light to the film,” Lee said. “But we have already found a cast. I think that there is written, but I’m not sure, so I would have to check the site. Therefore, I will not tell too much yet. But it is in any case a film that we want to make this year. “

And that should really be a movie for adults. “It is definitely a movie with an R-Rating,” Lee promised. “The tone of the film is close to the first manga adaptations, so it feels very realistic with fantasy elements.”

The manga follows a student who finds a supernatural notebook. If he writes a name, the person dies. It means that he wants to rid the world of all evil, but in doing so he has to deal with a retired police officer.
