Samsung Android 6.0 update rolling out for Galaxy Note 4 and Galaxy S5 Plus – GSM Helpdesk Netherlands

More and more users now than eighteen months old Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and give the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus receive an update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow for their device. The updates are between 1.1 and 1.3 gigabytes in size.

The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and Samsung Galaxy S5 were in 2014, the two flagship smartphones from Samsung. In recent weeks, though many users complained of both devices that it took a long time for the promised Android 6.0 update for the Marshmallow devices was released. Marshmallow Android 6.0 was released by Google late September 2015. It has thus lasted more than six months before this new Android version for the two former flagship smartphones has become available.

The Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus is an enhanced version of the Samsung Galaxy S5. The ‘plus’ model has a different processor, and thus can handle faster 4G connections. The ‘normal’ Galaxy S5 LTE provides Cat.4 support with download speeds up to 150 Mbps on 4G networks. The Galaxy S5 Plus offers LTE Cat.6 support with download speeds up to 300 Mbps on 4G networks.

Android 6.0 Marshmallow update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Samsung Galaxy S5 Plus will be rolled out in phases. Availability depends on the model number or the provider version of both devices. In the coming weeks, all versions of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4 and the Galaxy S5 Plus receive the Android 6.0 update Marshmallow.
