IFTTT, short for If This Then That, today released three new apps. IFTTT is a service that lets you automate certain tasks according to a recipe. You choose a trigger (the This in If This Then That) and then an action to be performed. IFTTT has worked with hundreds of services and with the new apps, you can still make recipes done faster.
Do Camera
The first new app Do Camera. Once you have created an account or login with your IFTTT account you can create a recipe. Maximum you can use three recipes. The app automatically adds sent to the first in which a captured image directly to yourself via email. Yourself, you can add an additional action, such as saving the captured image in Dropbox. By swiping back and forth, you can choose the right recipe that you want to use. Then you take the picture, and the captured image is sent to yourself or stored in Dropbox.
Do Button
Do Button is similar to a remote control attached to IFTTT. The app is as simple as Do Camera. You can add three actions and decide what action you are performing. A good example is Do Button with Nest. You can add a button that you can put your Nest thermostat at a certain temperature with a tap. Like Button Do you swipe left or right for the other recipes, such as emailing a random POISON to yourself.
Do Note
Do note is the last of the three apps and provides perhaps the most options. Rather than take a photo or press a button to perform an action you can handle text in a recipe. Create a recipe to, type some text and when you press it runs on the recipe button. So you can write fast ideas and mail it to yourself, so that you never forget.
Note Do, Do Do Button Camera and are available free on the App Store. When an iPad version comes out is not yet known but the real IFTTT app, which is called IF from now, is available for the iPad.
