Sonos brings blue Blue Note PLAY: 1 from – iculture

Sonos has released a limited edition speaker of the PLAY: 1. The blue version is intended as a tribute to more than 75 years of Jazz Blue Note Records. The Blue Note PLAY: one is 250 euros and will soon be available in a limited edition of 4,100 pieces. Sonos expects a huge run on the speaker and think they sell out fast. The Blue Note PLAY: one is 50 euros more expensive than the standard version in black. You get to the blue version a year access to three pre-programmed Bluenote channels: Artist Selects, Born in Blue and Blue Note 101. Artist Selects contains every month new playlists number of greats like Robert Glasper, Jose James, Terence Blanchard, Ambrose Akinmusire, Lionel Loueke and Don Was.

Is the Blue Note sound new to you, then you can canal Blue Note 101 acquainted with the evolution of jazz. You listen how the record label sounded 75 years ago and how it evolved into the current status. Listen you prefer to remixes and covers, then there is Born in Blue. This channel brings Blue Note artists along with other artists and thus creates a bridge to modern music. Are you not (yet) a real jazz lover, but you can appreciate the influence of jazz on other musical styles, that this is your channel. The latter two channels are also common to other users via Sonos Sonos and TuneIn, while the Artist Select channel can only be listened to by people who Bluenote PLAY: one bought.

Sonos works wirelessly and is useful if you’d rather not buy speakers with fixed connector, because they can quickly become obsolete. Keep in mind that Sonos still does not support AirPlay and that as yet does not seem to intend. Nevertheless, you can do from the iPhone or iPad wirelessly play your music on any Sonos speaker
