Samsung has started rolling out Android 5.0 for the Galaxy Note 4. The manufacturer is rolling out the update Lollipop began in Poland. When the update in the Netherlands roll out is still unknown.
After earlier Galaxy S5 and Galaxy Note 3 updates were provided, is finally starting this week the Galaxy Note 4 turn. Samsung has started rolling out an update to Android 5.0.1 for the Galaxy Note Lollipop 4. The update is available since last night in Poland. Samsung introduces new updates more often to that country, where they are then gradually rolled out globally in the week.
Polish owners of the Galaxy Note 4 automatically receive a notification when they can download the update. Alternatively you can check yourself whether the update is already available by going to the Settings to “About phone” and then choose “Software Updates”. The update is not yet available via Samsung Kies, which you can update from your computer. Likely that at a later date there have available for it.
Usually Samsung is reasonably fast on a global rollout of updates. Our expectation is that the Android 5.0 update in a few weeks is also available in the Netherlands for the Note 4.
Android 5.0 Lollipop Google introduces many new features for Android. There are now notifications on your lock screen, battery life has improved, and apps should now run smoother and faster. Samsung has also adapted its own TouchWiz interface for Android Light, in addition to the innovations that Google with ‘Material Design’ refresh implements.
