The Note 4 may be only a few months out of his he already is a successor. A faster version is underway with support for 4G + (LTE Advanced) which speeds up to 300 Mbit / s and eventually even 450 Mbit / s are possible!
The new version of the Note 4 is the first smartphone with Tri -band Carrier Aggregation. This on current networks peak speeds up to 300 Mbit / s. In the Netherlands, the service is offered as 4G + and network currently supports speeds up to 225 Mbit / s. As soon as there are such phones, it is useful to enhance the network speed. Ultimately, this special version of the Note 4 even coped with speeds up to 450 Mbit / s (Category 9 LTE).
This high network speeds allow Samsung probably makes use of the newer Snapdragon 810 processor. Only this SoC is suitable for 3×20 MHz Carrier Aggregation. The current Galaxy Note 4 have to do it with a Snapdragon 805 processor. The improved Note 4 comes out sometime in January.
