Meizu Blue Charm Note 2: cheap and colorful 5.5-inch phablet – Android World

Meizu is a Chinese manufacturer, known for the different smartphones that they have been released. The Blue Charm Note 2 has a 5.5 inch phablet, clearly inspired by the colorful iPhone 5C and has received a price starting at $ 130.

Meizu has Blue Charm Note 2 officially presented and this unit continues the line of colorful smartphones arising resemble the iPhone 5C again. Meizu Blue Charm which was presented in January this year was already by his appearance which was certainly influenced by Apple’s iPhone

That aside this unit runs on Android 5.0 lollipop and also there is a MediaTek MT6753 chipset present, we have not seen much earlier in Chinese smartphones. This processor is 64bit compatible and contains eight cores, clocked at 1.5 GHz and supports 4G. The unit contains the rest a physical button below the screen, something what Meizu other smartphones not on board.

This button does not function as a fingerprint scanner, but offers two other options. By clicking on it you are going to set the home screen that’s as main screen, but if you click it lightly go back a step. Of course the Flyme shell again present at this unit and the 5.5-inch display is an IPS panel from Sharp IGZO and has a resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. This type IGZO screen is known for a touch sensitive area compared to a TFT display screen and also uses less energy.

Charm Note 2 weighs 149 grams, measures 150.9 x 75.2 x 8.7mm and includes 2GB of memory. The camera on the back is a 13 megapixel copy and FrontCam shoot pictures at a resolution of 5 megapixels. The battery is a 3100mAh copy and there are variations on the market with 16GB and 32GB expandable memory.



Availability

The units are now on order and will be sold from 12 June be. Like many smartphones Meizu this unit is only available in China, but of course one import possible. The 16GB version has been suggested retail price of the equivalent of about € 118, while the 32GB version costs € 146 must go. If you want to import the device must obviously still consider a slightly higher price, shipping, insurance and any customs clearance fees or VAT
