Samsung Galaxy Note 5 may get auto-eject feature for pen – Android World

It is in line with expectations that Samsung in consumer electronics fair IFA in Berlin in early September with a new smartphone in the Galaxy Note series comes. The Samsung Galaxy Note 5 could well have the opportunity to eject the pen automatically.

Last year, Samsung managed to do well with the Galaxy Note 4. This device with qHD screen and metal edge besides the hefty screen size also another for the Note series unique feature: the device has an active stylus, a pen that simple annotations can be made

Patently Mobile Samsung recently discovered a patent that describes a technique to automatically throw out the stylus. This system is based on magnets. The pen can be done by means of a magnet in the pen and a magnet on the inside of the device can be snapped firmly, but due to the polarization can be reversed, the pin is ejected.

The ejection may occur for example, when the user gives a voice command or press a button or a “gesture” drawing on the screen. It is of course still the question whether the patent will actually be used for the Galaxy Note 5 or will even be used at all.



Announcement

It will very likely be a while before Samsung announces its Galaxy Note 5. The company traditionally used the IFA as a platform for an announcement and this conference is on 4 September start
