Samsung Galaxy Note 4: ‘unbranded’ finally gets Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow – DroidApp (Blog)

Samsung in the Netherlands started with updating the unbranded Samsung Galaxy Note 4. Long time were owners of this device without carrier branding wait for the update to Marshmallow. In December last year Samsung began distributing the latest publicly available version of Android

It’s finally here.; the unbranded Samsung Galaxy Note 4 will receive from today the update to Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. The update allowed for this variant of the Note 4 (very) long in coming. In December, Samsung began last year with the distribution of the update in several countries, including Hungary. In early May the update was already inside rolled in Note 4 handsets with Vodafone and T-Mobile branding

If you have purchased an unbranded or unlocked free Galaxy Note 4, you can get now and install the update. The update is version N910FXXU1DPE1 OTA and can, therefore, be retrieved from the unit. If you have not yet received notification of the update, go to Settings & gt; About the device & gt; Software Update and manually check if the update is available.

Improvements

Marshmallow brings several enhancements to the smartphone with the S Pen. Through Doze there must be more efficiently be handled with the stamina. With Instant Share, you can quickly share content and you can set an app which permissions may have an application.
