ASH – The Blue Note Big Band and Gospel Choir El Elohim got to know each other during the Music swirling Assen, the start of the cultural season. There came the idea to act together. Conductors Toine Weterings (Bleu Note Big Band) and Joop Team (El -Elohim) are each other’s colleagues at the Royal Military Band Johan Willem Friso.
That guarantees a musical evening, where the two companies in addition to their own sound, a large number of tracks collectively increase. With pianist Jan de Roos and drummer Edward Naber as choir escorts in its repertoire of El Elohim
The emphasis is less on this concert gospel.; The choir meets a new genre of music without losing her signature. Brass and jazz embrace choral music with a moral. A special combination. Come hear and see!
