Samsung makes Galaxy Note 7 unusable with new update – Android Planet

Worldwide, there are still some Samsung Galaxy Note 7 owners around, despite an extensive recall. These users are now warned that they have their device from next week, no longer able to charge.

Samsung Galaxy Note 7-users on the U.s. carrier U.S. Cellular have received a message that their device from next week, unusable, reports The Verge. The devices according to the message on 15 december of a new update. This update ensures that the Note 7 no longer can be recharged. It is in fact impossible for the smartphone yet.

Yet it seems this update is only rolled out to a single American provider. However, it seems that Samsung is now doing everything to help the Galaxy Note 7 will be unusable and out of the hands of customers. In Canada rolled off the manufacturer’s recently been an update out for the Note 7 that bluetooth, wi-fi and mobile receive to be disabled. Many other countries have received updates which the maximum battery capacity was reduced.

Note 7-restrictions

The Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was at the end of August released in different countries, but soon there were complaints about devices that will spontaneously ignite. A recent study revealed that the Note 7 battery pack too close to other components sat, causing explosions almost inevitable.

The manufacturer decided, after more than 100 complaints to the production of the device permanently stop. Note 7-owners were requested to contact the unit as soon as possible to return, but not everyone gave there at the hearing. Samsung is trying it with updates as this to ensure that also the last those who persevere their device back.

In the Netherlands the Samsung Galaxy Note 7 was never formally sold. Just before the unit here would appear to be announced, Samsung has the sales to stop.
