The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 is a few weeks already in stores. Will Samsung’s new phablet again one of the best smartphones of this autumn? GSMinfo.nl tried the phone down briefly on Samsung Unpacked.
The Samsung Galaxy Note is one of the four major smart phones of the year for Samsung. The Korean manufacturer often stuffs the latest hardware and a wide range of software in the Note Series. It is no different with the Note 4: This Android bursting with features. We have 4 discs, but can try short so it is long not possible to discuss all these features but our brief first impression is certainly positive.
Design
Grab the Note 4, then falls as the revamped by. Tastes vary, but we still did not like it really. The back is still made of the same plastic material as the Galaxy S5, while the side has a modern metal band. It’s a strange combination: Samsung seems to want to go with the metal, but for premium clasht with the rear. Moreover, the metal edge slightly sharp edges, which you what cutting into your hands feel pressures if you firmly hold the device.
Galaxy Note 4 screen
The screen of the Galaxy Note 4 however, makes up for it. The 5.7 inch display is a Super AMOLED screen, with incredibly vivid colors and exceptionally clear images. The picture splashed haste of the screen, and makes the Note 4 a delight to the eye. This is probably partly due to the qHD resolution of the device. The high resolution of 1440×2560 pixels provides a much higher pixel density than the three discs and many other phablets. You notice that in practice only really notice when you Note 4 next to a device puts a ‘normal’ Full HD resolution, but reinforces the idea that the sharpness Note 4 has a beautiful screen.
About the hardware Note 4, we can be brief: the device is incredibly powerful. In the Netherlands we get the version with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 805, the most powerful quad-core processor of the moment. We have not been able to test it extensively but bank on that fact all apps will run on the Note 4 smooth would be no problem. Too multitask Samsung expands the multitasking functionality even considerably with the new discs and appear to use the extra powerful hardware. Ample use
S Pen
The S Pen is obviously back in Note 4, the functionality of Samsung’s stylus is only extended. So you can now easily use the S Pen to use a small portion of the screen, then several small screens by sending at once. Screenshot You can shrink windows multitask apps and resize with the S Pen, and Air Command is extensive. How often you will use many of the new features in practice is to wait and see, but in our first experience they worked smoothly and easily. Make notes as always goes smoothly, by the way, so if you have enough you can still fine with S Note to work.
The Samsung Galaxy Note 4 offers perhaps no big surprises, the device seems probably one of the best smartphones of the autumn to be. The hardware is excellent, the screen is fantastic, the software has some new features: We can certainly do not wait until we can test the unit for a long while. Perhaps the design after a few weeks a lot better like this.
