The Preacher They come to the Blue Note Club Sessions – Dichtbij.nl

EINDHOVEN – On Saturday, October 31 The Preacher They come to Eindhoven. Lovers of swinging Hammond jazz from the 50-60′er years can afternoon visit the Music building for a very appropriate edition of the Blue Note Club Sessions (16.00, free).

The Preacher One is the new Hammond trio consisting of Ephraim Trujillo on saxophones, Rob Mostert’s impressive Hammond B3 and Chris Strik on drums.

These three musicians from the Dutch jazz scene share a love for classical Hammond trios from the 50s and 60s.

Everyone for themselves they have their mark nationally and earned abroad. As The Preacher One they go back to the time of Blue Note and Verve, the time of heroes like Jimmy Smith, Jimmy McGriff, Lou Donaldson & amp; Stanley Turrentine, the time of smoky jazz clubs in Chicago and New York.

A diepgroovend Hammond organ, a ripping sax and back beats where you can not reach sit still!

The Preacher Men set a ‘steamy’ show down where the fun but also the expertise and talent from splashes. The men are completely attuned to each other but continue to challenge each other so that the smallest musical surprise can lead to an intense improvisation.

In early 2016, the release of the first The Preacher One album planned and touring trio along theaters clubs.

But Saturday, October 31st in Eindhoven so already!
