Drama around the samsung Galaxy Note 7 pushes share Apple 2% in the plus – Business Insider

Samsung stopped today with the Galaxy Note 7  smartphone, after persistent technical problems,  resulting in the share price of Apple rose.

The stock markets in New York Tuesday with minuses opened. Aluminiumconcern Alcoa went sharply down after disappointing quarterly results. Apple knew again to take advantage of the malaise around the Galaxy Note 7 of rival Samsung.

The Dow jones index stood shortly after the start of 0.3 percent in the red on 18.271 points. The broad S&P 500 declined 0.3 percent to 2156 points and the technology fair Nasdaq lost 0.3 percent, to 5314 points.

Apple climbed 2 percent. Samsung announced the production of the Note 7 to stop because of the fire and danger of explosion. The smartphone would actually be a major competitor of the iPhone. The share of Apple rose Monday’s 1.8 percent.

Alcoa fell 8.5 percent. The company, which is going to break, in the third quarter of a higher profits on a lower turnover. The adjusted earnings per share fell, however, lower than analysts had thought. Alcoa opened with results, the kwartaalcijferseizoen in New York. Later this week, yet figures of Delta Air Lines, Citigroup and Wells Fargo.

The European stock markets showed Tuesday afternoon no notable price movements. Investors did calm down after hefty gains a day earlier. There was hardly news to the market direction.

The AEX-index in Amsterdam recorded around 15.40 0.1 percent lower at 454,68 points. The Midcap was flat on 667,42 points. London fell 0.1 percent, while Paris and Frankfurt up 0.3 percent increased.

Kabelaar Altice was the strongest riser in the AEX-index with a plus of 1.6 percent. Heineken also belonged to the leaders with a gain of 1.5 percent. At the bottom of the main index was chipmachinefabrikant ASML to find with a loss of 1.5 percent.

In the medium-sized funds was Air France-KLM, the luminary, with a gain of 2.6 percent, followed by navigation company TomTom (plus 1.6 percent). The supplier’s supplier to the semiconductor industry Besi filled the bottom of the Midcap with a loss of 1.7 percent.
