Mobile division Samsung barely makes a profit by Note 7-problems – Tweakers

The profit of the smartphonetak of Samsung in the last quarter with 96 percent compared to the same quarter last year. The costs that the retreat of the Galaxy Note 7, with, bring, also have an impact on the total group.

The profit of the mobile division came in at 100 billion Korean won, converted approximately 80 million euro. Although the Galaxy Note 7 of the market is expected to Samsung in the fourth quarter, a sales book that is similar to that of the fourth quarter of 2015, due to good sales of the Galaxy S7 and S7 the edge. The profit of the smartphonetak will in the fourth quarter, however, still low because of the cost around the Note 7 debacle.
