Samsung sharing results research Note 7: it was the battery – DutchCowboys

Yes, we saw all not arrive: the Note 7-problems were caused by the battery. A bit bland perhaps, because the research from Samsung has something specific showed where the problem was in the burning/exploding phone.

Type A and B

There were two types of batteries and both had a different problem. The original battery of the Note 7 that Samsung Type of A call was actually too big. Batteries, shrink and expand during use, and because there was no room for the power off, internal components, crushed and damaged, specifically the separators that the positively and negatively charged electrodes separate from each other. If those two touch each other is a dangerous level of heat generated and so that is what happened.

The second set of batteries, type B, were made by a different company manufactured and that have so much of a hurry to make it to ten million new batteries in a very short time to produce that issues have occurred. Samsung has this in collaboration with a whole mountain to third parties, and the approximately 700,000 technicians in-house at the four locations where the Note 7 is produced is examined. There were 200.000 Notes tested with 30,000 batteries in a special lab.

No two time punches

The Korean company wants, that this never can happen, and has also announced a number of new protocols to implement, including an 8-step inspection of new batteries with a leak-, voltage-, and endurance test, röntgentest and a complete dismantling and reconstruction of each battery. This testing shall be for the Galaxy S8 already be done.

That’s not all: Samsung passes all the safety standards for their batteries freely share, and the new testing standard will be made public for all security organisations. Samsung has, quite rightly, something to prove and is in any case committed to this blemish on the blazon to brush away and that is a good start to the confidence and trust of the smartphone-buyers to win back.
