Specifications HTC YOU Play (Alpine) and Ultra (Ocean Note) published – TechTastic

The expectation is that HTC on 12 January three new Android smartphones are going to reveal and it seems that the specifications are in any case two devices were leaked. According to Chinese Weibo user, @upleaks, the HTC YOU Ultra (Ocean Note) a high-end model, while the HTC YOU Play (Alpine) in the mid-range category.

The HTC YOU Ultra will reportedly feature a 6-inch screen with a qhd resolution of 2560 x 1440 pixels. Under the hood we find the new Snapdragon 835-soc from Qualcomm coupled with 4GB lpddr4 ram and 64GB of storage. The capacity of the battery is 4000mAh and on the back is a finger print scanner placed.

Update: new photos show that the HTC YOU Ultra also comes with a second screen next to the selfie-camera.

The Snapdragon 835 makes use of a big.LITTLE configuration, with four powerful cores are combined with four efficient cores. The four powerful Kryo 280-cores have a maximum clock frequency of 2.4 GHz and 2MB L2-cache, and must for such tasks as vr and web browsing, around 20 percent better performance; the four efficient cores running at up to 1.9 GHz with 1MB L2 cache. The Symphony System Manager is responsible for the distribution of the workload and the efficient cores would be 80 percent of the time are enabled. Qualcomm has this time opted for a semi-custom cores, which presumably are based on the design of the ARM A73-core.

HTC has opted for a dual camera at the back, which consists of a 24-megapixelsensor and a 13-megapixel sensor It is still unknown what the new camera module for extra’s has to offer. Selfies can be shot with a 16-megapixelfrontcam.

in Addition, we expect that the HTC YOU Play will be introduced as an affordable mid-range smartphone. The screen of the You Play has a diagonal of 5.2-inch and a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The chipset is a MediaTek MT6755 with eight Cortex A53 cores (2GHz) and an ARM Mali-T860 MP2 gpu coupled with 3GB lpddr3 ram and 32GB storage memory. The battery has a capacity of 2500mAh, and in addition to the HTC YOU Play on a ngerprint scanner.

It is still unknown when or if the HTC YOU Ultra and You Play are placed on the market in Europe.
