Samsung Galaxy Note 2 Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Update Instructions - SidhTech

One of the most popular of all Android handsets in the market right now is the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. This usefull leg has a very popular device with developers and it is to get an update to Android 4.2 Jelly Bean. However at the moment there is no word on when this might happen. If you are fed up with waiting and you want to go ahead and install it today, you can, thanks to custom ROMs Which are available for all versions of the phablet.

Of course you do have to take care and ensurethat you follow the instructions very carefully when installing a custom ROM.

Before you go ahead and make the update you shouldering check the following.

You do have to own the international version. The ROM for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 on AT & T, Sprint, Verizon and T-Mobile. You have to make usefull surethat your handset is rooted.

Before installing the ROM you need to Check That the battery is at least 70% So THAT the power does not get interrupted.

Before going ahead and flashing the ROM usefull you would have to make a backup of your Samsung Galaxy Note 2.

Check to make surethat the security apps you have on your computer have been disabled and of course the same Applies to Apps That you have on your device.

Download the ROM onto your computer and then follow the steps below.

1. Install the Samsung USB drivers on your computer.

2. Connect your Galaxy Note 2 to the computer, then copy the appropriateness custom ROM and the Google Apps package on the SD card of your device.

3. Switch off the Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and reboot it into recovery mode. To do this, press and hold the Volume Up + Volume Down + Power keys after the device turned off.

4. Create a Nandroid backup for your current ROM Which you can restore later if something goes wrong. Select “backup and restore> backup.” You can select “restore” if you Decided to revert back to your current ROM.

5. In the main menu, select “wipe data / factory reset” and “wipe cache partition.” After that, go back and select “advanced> Wipe Dalvik Cache.”

6. Go back to the main menu and select “install zip from SD card> choose zip from SD card.” Choose the custom ROM zip file you have copied on your Galaxy Note and confirm installation. Do the same with the Google Apps package.

7. Once the installation is complete, go back to the main menu and select “reboot system now.”

8. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 will reboot and May take up to 5 minutes to complete the first run of the latest ROM.

If you have followed the instructions above you shouldering now be running Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean on your Samsung Galaxy Note 2 and be bootable to enjoy all the new features alongwith Those from Paranoid Android, CyanogenMod and AOKP.
