Samsung Galaxy Note 5 does not come to Europe, bad choice? – Android World

Last week, Samsung made two new high-end appliances available, the Galaxy Note 5 and S6 + Edge. There was also announced that the first time being officially in Europe will be for sale. It will have been a strategic choice by Samsung, but not everyone is happy about it.

Note 5 is the latest addition to the Note series and features an Exynos 7420 chipset which is also found in the S6 and S6 Edge. There is 4GB of memory available and there are variations on the market with 32GB and 64GB of internal memory, but a microSD card slot is not present. The 5.7 inch screen has a resolution of 2560×1440 pixels and on the back we find a 16-megapixel camera.

The FrontCam is a 5 megapixel copy and the battery has a capacity of 3000mAh. The design is something different than what we know from other Samsung devices with at the back which rounded corners. Of course the Note 5 is again comes with a stylus that can be found in the phone and using a small spring mechanism can be removed from the unit

Not in Europe

Samsung showed during the presentation also know not to bring to Europe the device, for the moment, because never say never. Europeans would not use as much of the stylus and therefore only the S6 + Edge released here. For example, in Germany only 20% of the Notes users regularly hold of the stylus there to use. Yet many people are disappointed in this choice because they wanted to have a big screen and of course a stylus. Samsung is targeting in Europe on the Edge S6 +, a device that does have a big screen, but does not come with a stylus and another screen with rounded corners. In terms of hardware, there is nothing on that extension to notice, but it just has a very different audience than the Note series.

Import naturally belongs always a possibility, but the Note 5 will not officially will be delivered in eg the UK or Germany, so it is already difficult. The device is released in America, among others, but those models are not all hardware again operating in Europe, for instance, the LTE bands and the like. I’m guessing there will be some online shops which will import the device and then sell again, so-called gray imports.

Still, I hope Samsung also recognizes that there is enough demand for the Note 5 Europe and the device also just going to release official. What do you think of the choice of Samsung to anywhere in the world to release the two devices, except in Europe?
