Samsung Galaxy Note 2 & S3 Android 4.2.2 Update: Not Before November? - SidhTech

Those who have the Samsung Galaxy S3 and Samsung Galaxy Note 2 who are waiting to get their hands on the Jellybean 4.2.2 update, could have to wait until November or even December. It seems That the update for the handsets will rely on how well the Samsung Galaxy S4 has sold. SamMobile through Twitter That said the delay was down to issues with the TouchWiz interface.

While we have no confirmation of this, SamMobile Said That the update was going to be delayed as there were issues with TouchWiz. At the moment we have no idea if the devices withtheir 1GB of memory will be the issue.

The Jelly Bean update to 4.2.2 for the Samsung Galaxy S3 leaked online recently and with it came a new lockscreen, transition, effects and apps taken from the Samsung Galaxy S4. It seems That the only thing thats missing is the camera app.

However it could be the sales of the Samsung Galaxy S4 That are the problem.

When the Samsung Galaxy S4 was revealed it did sell more units than the predecessor.

Perhaps Samsung will want to hold on to the update and keep the apps on the Samsung Galaxy S4 for now.

If the Samsung Galaxy S3 gets the apps of the Samsung Galaxy S4 it could put people off from updating to the newer handset, so this would be a very good reason for the delay.

Samsung May wanna get Key Lime Pie out on the Samsung Galaxy S4 and the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 around October. People would then be bootable to pick from Jellybean 4.2.2 on the Samsung Galaxy S3 with apps from the Samsung Galaxy S4, or they could go for the Samsung Galaxy S4 with Key Lime Pie.
