Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 Official Update: Going Straight to ... - International Business Times AU

No can deny That Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is finally heading its way and eventhough HTC Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean for the One, Samsung Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 might skip straight to Android 4.3 as a reason why the company delays the official update for owners to get more than they wanted.

Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean No More

In May 2013, a leaked pre-release firmware from SamMobile for the Samsung Galaxy S3 Showed That the former Samsung flagship will get many features EXCLUSIVELY found on Galaxy S4 and major UI changes, duplicating the current interface or brand-new Galaxy phones. The leaked firmware runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and contains special applications zoals Air Gestures and improves S Voice, indicating software compatibility with Galaxy S4.

The Galaxy Note 2 pre-release firmware is not yet available but the Galaxy Note 8.0 Wi-Fi has one and features Several changes as well. Both pre-release firmware runs Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean and could be the teaser for owners for the real upcoming firmware update Samsung planning to release.

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean is already in the hands of company and was tested on Galaxy S4. Samsung is only waiting when Google will officially push the latest Android version to the Nexus line so they can finally release it for the Galaxy line.

Android 4.3 Jelly Bean Update

Overall design with TouchWiz running Android 4.3 for Galaxy S3 and Note 2 May not be totally different from Android 4.2.2, except for some improvements. These improvements affect the system applications, notifications bar, function Bluetooth, Wi-Fi connectivity and lots of bugs found in Android 4.2.2.

Samsung will definitely modify the default UI with TouchWiz UX but it is unsure what more they can add to make it look totally different from Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean running Their Galaxy line. Another point why they are planning to raise updates for Android 4.3 is the significance Which devices are getting Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie. This simply points out to one thing -. Your Galaxy S3 and Galaxy Note 2 are eligible to receive Android 5.0 by early or mid 2014

So if you own them, do not frown why Samsung delays the official update. If Samsung did not release Android 4.3 yet, expect Android 4.2.2 Jelly Bean Which is still great and then more with Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie.
