Samsung have been experimenting with massive handsets for a while now and until the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 arrives at the Note 2 is the best they have to offer. The Sony Xperia S Ultra Clearly a superior handset to the Samsung Galaxy Note 2. It has a far higher build quality – as well as being waterproof and dustproof. Usefull it has a faster processor and a much higher resolution screen.
But it does not win at everything. The Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has a Marginally better battery life and more storage Potentially, while both handsets have the same amount of RAM, the same connectivity options and similar cameras.
The Sony Xperia S Ultra has a bigger screen than the Galaxy Note 2, but that’s Not necessarily a good thing, as it depends on how big you actually want the screen on your phone to be. At 6.4 inches it’s really pushing the limits of being pocket sized. It’s usefull likely to retail for Substantially more than the Galaxy Note 2 and while it’s more powerful that extra horsepower Is not likely to be very noticeable.
So the Sony Xperia S Ultra is the better of the two, but the higher price and lower portability mean it May not be the best choice for everyone.
