The Samsung Galaxy S3′s and the Note 2′s Jelly Bean 4.2 update might not get to us until November or December, According to the IB Times. It seems That the release date May depend on the Galaxy S4′s sales figures. SamMobile tweeted about this delay, and claimed ‘it was related to TouchWiz UI, issues, though.

There’s no word as to the cause of the delay from the company, and we do not know if the 1GB of RAM, Which supports both devices, is the source of the problem.

The firmware update for Jellybean 4.2.2 for the Galaxy S3 was leaked recently, and we could see the lock screen, transitions, effects and Galaxy S4 exclusive apps. The only thing missing was the GS4′s camera app, but other than that, everything looked fine.

There’s another rumor linking the record sales of the Galaxy S4 to the delay – this handset is said to have sold many more units than previous Galaxy phones. As the Galaxy S3 is compatible with the Galaxy S4 apps, many people will be tempted to stick withtheir Galaxy S3 and wait for the update – if you can get most of the functionality of the Galaxy S4 for free, why shell out bucks? This makes a lot of sense, and Samsung will not want this to happen.

If this is Samsung’s game, this could pave the way for the S4 and the Galaxy Note 3 to get Android 4.3 or Key Lime Pie, Which is supposed to be coming out in October. Then, people will be bootable to choose between Jellybean 4.2.2 and the S4-enabled Galaxy S3, or they could push the boat out and bag the Galaxy S4 itself, complete with Key Lime Pie and all its treasures.
